Who is the patron saint of needlework?
St. Clare of Assisi
She's St. Clare of Assisi, an Italian contemplative known for her hand-sewn altar cloths as well as for her extremely austere way of life.
We have a ministry started from the idea of one of our ladies. She ran a summer sewing camp for a group of children and some of their parents. Additional weekends and summer camp are being set up now. Several members are helping with this venture.
